![]() ![]() After getting fed up with the uniform, she rips it off and tells Bayonetta to get out of the coffin and help her, showing that they both actually survived re-entry and the funeral was just a rouse to get angels to appear. But it turns out, Jeanne is actually the nun present that is saying prayers and once the forces of Paradiso appear to collect Bayonetta's body, she engages in combat and dispatches them one by one. In the end after the fight with The Creator, Bayonetta appears to have perished from the re-entrance into Earth's atmosphere and a small funeral is being held for her, but Jeanne is nowhere to be found. But once again, she returns in the end to help Bayonetta defeat Jubileus by summoning Queen Sheba to destroy her. She was successful in freeing Bayonetta, but was pushed off by a shockwave, produced by Jubileus's statue as the goddess began to awaken, and floated off into outer space and was presumed dead. Jeanne comes to rescue Bayonetta, using her motorcycle, witch time and debris left by the rocket lifting Jubileus's statue, to get onto the spacecraft and power through hordes of angels, doing their best to halt her. The jewel broke the spell that was cast on her, freeing her mind from his influence. Not only that, but it is shown that at some point, Jeanne was abducted and brainwashed into helping Balder achieve his goal of awakening Jubileus, the creator, so that a new World could be born. In Bayonetta, she was mind controlled by Balder who used her as a pawn for over 500 years until Bayonetta herself freed her from the Lumen Sage 's influence.
